Today is the longest day of the year.
In just a few months, the nights will stretch longer, with the daylight dwindling as we get deeper into the winter months. But, that is not today. Today is the summer solstice—a day to celebrate.
The summer solstice looks different wherever you’re located in the Northern Hemisphere, but here in the Pacific Northwest, this time of year is categorized by color—greens, yellows, pinks, reds, gold, emerald, teal, grey. From the trees to the streams to the wildflowers, there is color. There is life. That is summer. We hope that you enjoy this beautiful, celebratory day in the PNW.
In true PNW form, it’s gray and misty. 🤣
